Vendor Statement Audits
The key to an effective statement audit is diligence, thoroughness and follow-through. Staffing limits and other resource constraints make in-house vendor statement reviews virtually impossible, if not impractical. Given these obstacles and inconveniences many companies have unwisely abandoned the practice. Yet, with the volume and high velocity at which business is conducted, a statement audit from RCI can yield as much as an A/P review focused around invoices and P.O. transactions. Just because your organization does not have time to request and follow up vendor statements, does not mean it should be overlooked.
Most RCI clients choose to have a vendor statement review conducted in coordination with the A/P Review process based upon the same contingency- fee basis. We will get it done for you, no worries! Upon completion of the client approved vendor statement request letter, RCI will coordinate the production and mailing, track responses and follow up with non-responding vendors. The final phase of our analysis is to verify and confirm vendor credits as appropriate in the most timely and professional manner.
